Voeding Leeft (Nutrition Lives)

Voeding Leeft  develops lifestyle programs for people with a chronic disorder. Pills are the main focus of treatment for patients. “While research shows that lifestyle is a very important factor in people’s health. If people know what nutrition can mean for their vitality, that lifestyle can do much more in the treatment of diseases. People become much more lively and experience more happiness. And that in turn means that they can phase out medication and be healthier”, says Barbara Kerstens, program director for Voeding Leeft.

Managing Happiness

Vitality is more than just food and exercise. Vitality also has a major social-emotional component. ‘In general, students often receive a lot of knowledge in education, but questions like how do you actually live? “Are often not addressed’, says Judith Becker. The students of the minor Project Lifestyle Style do talk about those topics and Becker hopes that this will cause an oil spill for other students.

The minor Project Lifestyle is this year for the first time on the education agenda at Zuyd Hogeschool | Zuyd University of Applied Sciences. Aftermovie TASTE Summit

An interesting TASTE summit at the Hotel Management School Maastricht with the theme ‘The value of the landscape for Vital Citizens’. About the way we now handle food and how we can improve it.
